The American writers’ association Authors Guild published one open fire letter to the bosses of the six market leaders for artificial intelligence such as OpenAI, Alphabet/Google and Meta. It says: “Generative AI technologies, built on large language models, owe their existence to our writings. These technologies mimic and regurgitate our language, stories, style, and ideas. Millions of copyrighted books, articles, essays, and poems provide the ‘food’ for AI systems, endless meals for which no one pays.”
