The AfD argues about “dirty work” and “dead horses” – Bavaria

According to the wishes of the federal executive committee, AfD MP Daniel Halemba is to leave the party. Not because of his right-wing radical activities, but because of alleged schmooze in his candidacy for state parliament. The Bavarian AfD leadership will discuss the matter on Thursday – the outcome is uncertain.

The Bavarian AfD executive board is to decide this Thursday whether to initiate party expulsion proceedings against state parliament member Daniel Halemba – after the federal executive board asked it to do so on Tuesday. The Würzburg public prosecutor’s office is investigating the 22-year-old on suspicion of sedition, among other things; it concerns incidents in the fraternity house of his Prague fraternity Teutonia zu Würzburg. In addition, Halemba is said to owe his candidacy to the state parliament to irregularities at assembly meetings in the Haßberge/Rhön-Grabfeld constituency. The AfD federal executive committee speaks of “identified violations of our party’s rules.”
