The financial director of the Lyon Sud faculty of medicine was imprisoned last week after his indictment on July 2 for corruption, favoritism, fraud and embezzlement of public funds. He is suspected of having received several hundred thousand euros in bribes from his suppliers, over the past few years, in exchange for unjustified contracts or work,

The director, for example, would have benefited in particular from a car loaned by a garage for the benefit of some services. He sent his relatives to have their vehicles repaired in this establishment. The services were then paid by false invoices established in the name of the faculty, details the regional daily.
The PAF (border police) began to investigate a cleaning company for concealed work and so it was traced to the suspect, a relative of the dean of the faculty.
