The 15-year-old girl, wanted since Tuesday, was found “safe and sound”

Julie was found “safe and sound”, announced Thursday noon Eric Vaillant, public prosecutor of Grenoble, confirming information from the Dauphiné Libéré. This 15-year-old girl had run away from home and been missing since Tuesday afternoon.

According to the daily, she was found near the city stadium where she had been seen for the last time “by a friend, in the woods between the village Biviers and the foot of the cliff” in Isère, about ten kilometers to the northeast of Grenoble. She showed no signs of violence but was taken into care and taken to hospital for follow-up examinations.

The teenager had gone to “walk her dog”

Wednesday evening, “at the initiative of the family and with the help of the police”, a hunt was organized in search of this young girl. The fight, which was in vain, had intervened after the gendarmerie’s call for witnesses on Wednesday of Isère.

Tuesday afternoon, the teenager had “gone to walk her dog” on a road in the town before leaving the animal “tied” near the park, the gendarmes said on Wednesday. The parents, not seeing her return, raised the alarm.

Some 25 gendarmes, including a dog team, supported by a helicopter, were immediately mobilized as part of the search which was concentrated in the perimeter of the municipalities of Biviers, Meylan and Montbonnot-Saint-Martin.

An investigation was opened on Wednesday by the Grenoble public prosecutor’s office for a worrying disappearance.
