Thanks to Musiala – FC Bayern beat Darmstadt after falling behind

After a few attempts, FC Bayern Munich finally achieved a clear victory against SV Darmstadt 98 in the Bundesliga. The Hessians were leading, but then some Bayern players shone. The record champions won 5:2 (2:1).

Darmstadt caught Bayern off guard when, after just under half an hour, Mathias Honsak fed Tim Skarke, who beat the Bayern keeper and new father Manuel Neuer from seven meters. Neuer’s wife Anika gave birth to a boy during the week.

However, this quickly became necessary after just a few minutes of play because first Darmstadt’s Christoph Klarer (who had already been treated in the first half of the game) had to be replaced due to an injury and then Pavlović had to come off the field after a hit to the head. Preliminary diagnosis: a bruised head and a laceration above his left eye – the 19-year-old, who was nominated for the German national team, watched the rest of the game from the bench. After the game, FC Bayern’s medical department gave the all-clear: Pavlović’s possible international appearances are not at risk.

In the second half of the game, Musiala in particular continued to show off his outstanding ball skills: After a quick throw-in from Thomas Müller, the young star, who had found his form again, let five Darmstadt players out and finished down the right, and Schuhen was no longer able to deflect the ball decisively.

When the hapless Leroy Sané and Müller left the field and Mathis Tel and Serge Gnabry came into play, it took less than three minutes until the bell rang again in the Darmstadt box. Again decisively responsible: Bayern’s “42er”, Jamal Musiala. His dream pass in the penalty area into Gnabry’s path was excellently converted into the far corner.

Bayern’s Musiala continues to work his magic – Kane is injured

And Musiala still really wanted to do magic this Saturday. He won’t take any risks”said Freund and added: “We hope it’s not too bad and he’ll be back on the pitch soon.”

Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting, in the game for the Brit, stumbled to make it 5-1, Sebastian Polter on the Darmstadt side hit the left post – Neuer, however, was there for this action but did not intervene.
