Textile art exhibition at London’s Barbican Gallery – Culture

It’s hard to imagine a sharper contrast than between the Barbican Estate in London and the “Unravel” exhibition on display in the gallery of this brutalist dream. Outside, the inner-city satellite town for 4,000 residents with its angular high-rises and plateaus, the most powerful demonstration of male tabula rasa planning of the post-war period. Inside the district’s cultural center there is a large exhibition of textile art, fine, colorful, soft and feminine. And the attitudes that clash here are also polarizing.
