BAP have pushed Taylor Swift out of first place in the German album charts with their current album “Zeitreise – Live im Sartory”.

With their live recording “Time Travel – Live at Sartory” BAP have this week Taylor Swift (34) pushed off the throne of the German album charts. For Wolfgang Niedecken (73) and his band, it is already the 13th number 1 album, as the Official German Charts, determined by GfK Entertainment, announced on Friday (May 3rd).

This means that the Kölsch rock band is not only more successful than Swift, but by German chart standards it is even more successful than any other band. Even Depeche Mode and Die Toten Hosen have “only” been able to place twelve records each in first place in the German album charts in their careers to date.

Directly behind the rock veterans BAP, Swift slides into second place with her latest hype album “The Tortured Poets Department”. Bronze went to “Nonetheless” by the Pet Shop Boys this week. In fourth place is “Zeppelin” by Matthias Reim (66). The metal band Accept completes the top 5 with “Humanoid”.

The single charts also have a new one

There is also a new chart-topper in the single charts – or rather two: Ayliva (26) and Apache 207 (26) have shot from zero to one with “Wunder”, displacing Artemas (24) with “I Like The Way You Kiss Me” reached second place after four weeks. On the three is “Pedro” by Jaxomy (28), Agatino Romero (32) and Raffaella Carrà (1943-2021).

The American Benson Boone (21) was in third place last week with “Beautiful Things”, who has now slipped to fifth place. Before that, the Australian DJ Cyril continues to hold the fort on the four with “Stumblin’ In” like last week.
