Tether’s CTO denies it has ever borrowed from Celsius.

According to the chief technology officer of Tether (USDT), the world’s largest stablecoin by market capitalization, it has never received any loans from bankrupt cryptocurrency lender Celsius.

Paolo Ardoino, chief technology officer of Tether and Bitfinex crypto exchange, took to Twitter on Jan. 31 toannouncethat Tether “never borrowed from Celsius”

The tweet was in response to a report by Celsius bankruptcy investigators alleging that Tether was one of Celsius’ borrowers, along with Three Arrows Capital, of borrowing $75 million from the firm.

In the auditor’s report, there ismentionedOn page 183, it reads, “Celsius’ loan to Tether doubles its line of credit.”

which Arduino has denied. and advised investigator Shoba Pillay to check it out. Then the phrase means “Celsius borrowed from Tether.”

“Probably a typo,” Tether’s chief technology officer wrote in a Twitter thread.
