The fact that he qualified for the ATP Finals in his comeback season is a success for Alexander Zverev. He moves up in the world rankings before the end of the season.

Olympic tennis champion Alexander Zverev has moved up one place in the world rankings to eighth place before the ATP season finale. This emerges from the new ranking published on Monday.

In his comeback season after his serious foot injury, Zverev temporarily fell out of the top 20 and has been back in the top ten since mid-September. Despite his elimination in the round of 16 of the Masters 1000 tournament in Paris last week, the man from Hamburg is qualified for the ATP Finals, in which the eight best tennis professionals of this season will take part in Turin from November 12th to 19th.

The world rankings are still led by Serbian top star Novak Djokovic, who celebrated his 40th title in the Masters 1000 category on Sunday in Paris. Second is the Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz.
