Tennis pro Oscar Otte missed the chance for an early victory for the German Davis Cup team in the quarterfinals against Canada. The 29-year-old lost in Málaga to world number six Felix Auger-Aliassime 6: 7 (1: 7), 4: 6. The North Americans managed to equalize.

Previously, Jan-Lennard Struff had just won against Denis Shapovalov. So the decision is double. Kevin Krawietz and Tim Pütz, unbeaten in the Davis Cup, will represent Germany. The winner meets Italy in the semifinals on Saturday.
