The car manufacturer BMW names 250 kilometers per hour as the top speed of its 128ti model – a 21-year-old electrician from the Munich district pushed it to the limit on Monday. Shortly before midnight he was noticed by a civil patrol near Effnerplatz when he roared across the Mittlerer Ring much too quickly. After turning onto the A94, he ignored both the speed limit set at 100 km/h due to the freezing temperatures and attempts by the police to persuade him to stop. The officials found more than 250 kilometers per hour in the chase, even through a construction site with a speed limit of 80, the 21-year-old raced at 220 things. He was later caught near his home, where officers immediately confiscated his driver’s license.
