Martin Gruber is back at “SOKO Vienna” – this time as an investigator. A few years ago he had another role.

The new TV investigator at “SOKO Vienna”, Martin Gruber played a murder suspect in the same series a few years ago. But he finds it completely harmless. The episode aired in 2017. “Exactly, right. I was on the other side of the law,” said the actor (53) in an interview with the German Press Agency. “And then you see: Everyone deserves a second chance, and it worked. That’s the good thing. If Bobby Ewing hadn’t said after the shower: “I had a bad dream,” “Dallas” would never have worked “, says Gruber, alluding to the famous 80s series, in which the authors in 1985 denied an entire, long storyline as a dream.

Gruber can be seen in the ZDF series “SOKO Wien” from this Friday (6 p.m.). The 53-year-old succeeds Stefan Jürgens in the evening crime thriller in the episode “Kreuzmordriddle”. Many people know Gruber from his time in the ZDF format “Die Bergretter” (2009-2014).
