Positive corona tests and a cold lead to changes in the “Let’s Dance” dance program. The youngest participant of the season goes home after the third episode.

For Instagrammer Cheyenne Ochsenknecht (21), it danced on the RTL show “Let’s Dance”: The model could not convince the audience and had to leave the show after the third episode.

“It was a nice time, a nice experience and I’m grateful that I was allowed to dance with such a great man,” said Ochsenknecht about her dance partner Evgeny Vinokurov (31).

The couple had danced a rumba to Orange Blue’s “She’s Got That Light” in 2000. There were initially solid reviews and 15 jury points. “You’re on the right track,” said juror Jorge González. Under the motto “Born in…” all the stars in this episode had to perform to a hit from the year in which they were born.

Health reasons had previously led to short-term changes in the program. Actor Hardy Krüger Jr. (53) was still corona-positive and therefore finally eliminated from the season, RTL announced on Wednesday. The entrepreneur Lilly zu Sayn-Wittgenstein-Berleburg (49), who had already left the company, took his place. However, since her dance partner Andrzej Cibis (34) also tested positive for the corona virus, choreographer Jimmie Surles (44) stepped in. The couple, put together at short notice, was less able to convince the jury. The juror Joachim Llambi only gave one point for the rumba on Neil Young’s “Heart of Gold”.

Success for athlete Mathias Mester

Comedian Bastian Bielendorfer (37) could not dance on the show either. He has a cold and fever, but is corona negative, said moderator Daniel Hartwich. There was another change among the professionals: Patricija Ionel (27) danced with actor Timur Ülker (32) because his partner Malika Dzumaev (31) failed due to a positive corona test.

The evening was particularly successful for athlete Mathias Mester (35), who again received the highest jury rating of the evening with 25 points. The jurors particularly praised the stage presence that Mester put on the floor at Paso Doble with professional Renata Lusin (34). “It’s so fun to watch you,” praised juror Motsi Mabuse. And juror Joachim Llambi, who is known for his strict judgements, also certified Mester’s energy and leadership qualities.

Mabuse again wore a bow in blue and yellow, the national colors of Ukraine, as part of her outfit on the show. The 40-year-old had previously announced publicly that she was concerned about her in-laws. Her husband Evgenij Voznyuk is from Ukraine, his parents still live there.

Professional dancer Vadim Garbuzov (33), who dances with actress Sarah Mangione (31) in season 15, was born in the Ukrainian city of Kharkiv. Five other dancers from the professional ensemble come from Russia.
