The Defense Minister apparently wants to mobilize significantly more money for Ukraine in the budget for the current year than planned: an over-planned expenditure of 3.8 billion euros Boris Pistorius (SPD) is said to have applied to Finance Minister Christian Lindner (FDP).. It does happen that additional expenditure is reported over the course of the financial year. Even an approved budget is not an immutable set of figures. Sometimes expenditure in budget implementation turns out to be higher than planned, sometimes funding flows more slowly or not at all, and sometimes new, unforeseen budget titles have to be inserted.
