RTL is looking for lonely hearts for its new dome show. It doesn’t matter whether it’s a man or a woman, as long as the candidates are older than 60.

The private broadcaster RTL is planning a dating show for the older generation. It will be called “Golden Bachelor,” as presenter Frauke Ludowig said in the reunion episode after the finale of the current season of “The Bachelors,” which was broadcast that evening on the streaming service RTL+. She promised: “We’re going to go one better now. There’s going to be a “Golden Bachelor” coming soon.”

Ludowig combined the announcement with a call: “We are looking for lonely hearts – male or female, it doesn’t matter – over 60,” she said and presented a golden rose. Typically, in the dating shows “The Bachelor” and “The Bachelorette,” red roses are distributed to the candidates who have advanced to the next round. “I’m really looking forward to it,” said Ludowig about the over-60s dating show.
