Telekom tariff for 9.99 euros: The small print in the check

For around ten euros, free calls at home and abroad as well as a surfing flat rate with 25 gigabytes of data volume – that definitely sounds like a good offer. However, customers are bound to the mobile phone contract for a full two years, and anyone who does not remember to cancel in time will receive an automatic extension – of course at the regular monthly package price of 36.99 euros.

What’s good, on the other hand, is that anyone who gives the provider consent for advertising saves the one-off connection fee. But be careful, the offer is only valid today, March 26th, until 11:59 p.m.

Alternative: CallYa Digital Allnet Flat

For more flexibility without a two-year contract period, a prepaid tariff is ideal. Vodafone’s CallYa Digital, for example, can be paused at any time. With 20 GB of data volume in the Vodafone network (4G|LTE Max and 5G), this tariff is also well suited for frequent surfers. At 20 euros every four weeks, it is twice as expensive as Freenet’s Telekom deal, but customers are not tied to a contract term. Another advantage: Anyone who is already a Vodafone customer will receive an additional GB of data volume for free every four weeks.

The details at a glance:

  • CallYa Digital prepaid tariff
  • 4G|LTE Max and 5G network
  • 20 GB data volume per monthly top-up
  • Telephone and SMS flat rate within Germany
  • EU roaming included
  • Pay conveniently: Debit from bank account
  • Price: 20 euros every four weeks

Prepaid tariffs offer greater flexibility than mobile phone contracts that are concluded for 24 months and are then automatically extended. Nevertheless, Freenet’s offer is not to be despised – getting the advantages of a telephone and SMS flat rate as well as 25 GB of data volume for just under ten euros is not bad. If you want to close this deal, you should decide today.
