In total, four minors were indicted Thursday for attempted murder (for one of them), complicity (for another young man) and aggravated violence (for the other two) after the brawl between two gangs of ‘adolescents who had caused two serious injuries in Champigny-sur-Marne (Val-de-Marne), said Thursday the prosecutor’s office in Créteil, requested by AFP.
In early March, two groups of young people from two districts of Champigny-sur-Marne, near Paris, clashed in the street with knives and fists. A 14-year-old was seriously injured and was given 21 days of temporary incapacity for work (ITT) while another miner from a rival neighborhood, aged 16, had him 45 days off. ITT after being placed in an induced coma. According to a police source, he had “an incredible chance to get away”.
The teenager admits having struck his victim
Two teenagers were indicted in the wake before five new arrests took place on Tuesday. Four of these young people were presented Thursday to an examining magistrate, who indicted them.
According to a source close to the investigation, the teenager prosecuted for attempted murder, aged 16, admitted to having stabbed the victim who had been plunged into a coma.
According to this same source, another young person, prosecuted for complicity in attempted murder, is suspected of having given the knife to the one who allegedly carried the beatings. Two others are being prosecuted for aggravated violence.
The prosecution requested the remand in custody of the young person accused of attempted murder. A judge of freedoms was to rule on Thursday evening. The others indicted were released and placed under judicial supervision, with a ban in particular from going to Champigny.
