Teacher hospitalized after being attacked by students

The brawl, which occurred in the courtyard of the establishment on Friday afternoon, degenerated. A teacher from the Joliot-Curie vocational high school in Reims (Marne), who tried to separate two students, was attacked by a group of high school students, reports France 3. The teacher, who was injured, suffered a broken jaw. He had to be hospitalized immediately.

Two students over the age of sixteen were placed in police custody, while an investigation was entrusted to the Reims judicial police, according to the same source. An exclusion from high school as a precautionary measure has already been pronounced against the two high school students in question.

A psychological unit set up

The mayor of Reims, Arnaud Robinet, provided his “support” to the attacked professor on X. “The return of respect and authority becomes essential and urgent,” he commented on the social network. The academy rector must go to the high school on Monday, where a psychological unit must be set up.
