Success isn’t all good for Taylor Swift. The American singer must once again face a problem of harassment. A man was arrested on Saturday after trying to break into his New York apartment.
New York police said on Monday that they arrested and charged with breaking and entering a 52-year-old man identified as Hanks Johnson after being called to the singer’s home in lower Manhattan shortly after 8:30 p.m. Police did not. did not specify where the singer was during the incident.
Many precedents
Newly turned 31-year-old Taylor Swift with her album Folklore, the first female artist to have won the prestigious Grammy for Album of the Year three times, has already had to face stalkers several times. In July 2019, a 32-year-old man was arrested in possession of “burglary tools” outside a residence of the singer in a seaside resort in the small US state of Rhode Island, northeast of New York.
A few months earlier, in March 2019, another man was arrested, for the second time in less than a year, outside his Manhattan apartment. This one, Roger Alvarado, who had however been forbidden to approach the artist’s home, then broke a window to enter his loft, in the singer’s absence.
