The records, the US musician Taylor Swift (33) has already broken could soon fill a whole book. Now the superstar has weighed several millions at the box office. The presale to the documentary about her ongoing world tour has sold $26 million worth of tickets in one day.

“The Eras” tour is the most meaningful experience in Taylor Swift’s life

This was announced by AMC, the largest cinema chain in the USA on Friday. The company’s website lists the length of the film as 2 hours 45 minutes. The documentary beat the previous record holder “Spider-Man: No Way Home”. “The Eras Tour” is the most meaningful and exciting experience of her life so far, the pop star wrote on Instagram on Thursday (local time).

She is “overjoyed” to tell her fans that they can experience the tour as a concert film in the cinema. Swift also posted a one-minute video with a compilation of her performances. According to the announcement, the film will start on October 13th in North American cinemas.

The horror film “The Exorcist – Confession” was originally supposed to be released in the USA on the same date, but producer Jason Blum reacted promptly to Swift’s announcement on Thursday and moved the US theatrical release forward a week. “Look What You Made Me Do,” Blum quipped on the online platform X (formerly Twitter), referring to Swift’s song title, with the hashtag #TaylorWins.

Swift has been touring the world since March with her The Eras Tour. The European leg of the tour is scheduled to start in Paris in May 2024. In July next year she also wants to be on stage in Gelsenkirchen, Hamburg and Munich.
