The MTV Video Music Awards were presented at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey on Sunday evening. Some of the invited musicians used the event to dress up glamorously – especially Taylor Swift (32).

Red splash of color

Not only was the singer the big winner of the night, but she also wowed in her sparkling Oscar de la Renta gown. The semi-sheer mini dress featured sparkling panels that draped around the musician’s body. She combined Louboutin heels and glittering jewelry by Lorraine Schwartz with the naked dress. To let the eye-catching dress work, she casually styled her hair back to the center parting. When it comes to make-up, however, she used rhinestones on the lid for another eye-catcher. Her signature lipstick in dark red could not be missing.

US singer Becky G and Brazilian musician Anitta (29) provided further fashionable highlight moments on Sunday evening. Becky G chose an equally sparkling dress. The floor-length, tight-fitting robe by Zuhair Murad became an eye-catcher with a colorful pattern and cut-outs on the sides and perfectly accentuated the singer’s slim waist. Her dark hair fell in light waves over her shoulders. She completed her elegant look with red nail polish and red lipstick.

Anitta chose a particularly extravagant look. She wore a red Schiaparelli asymmetric bodice dress that accentuated her slim silhouette. The robe was particularly eye-catching thanks to a mesh element that covered one of the musician’s breasts. The 29-year-old combined black tights and red heels with the robe. She had styled her hair back in a sleek look, with only a few strands framing her face. When it came to make-up, she used nude-colored lipstick in addition to mascara and some blush.
