Taufkirchen – elementary school am Wald is moving – district of Munich

During the summer holidays, the primary school at the forest in Taufkirchen will move into its new home on the other side of Pappelstraße. The sports field on the roof of the building there will probably not be available yet, said Mayor Ullrich Sander (independent) in the municipal council. However, the desired move date will be met, so that the school will start the coming school year in the new building. At 35 million euros, this is the largest single project in the history of the community and should have been ready for occupancy long ago. But due to problems at the construction site as well as material and personnel bottlenecks, the move date was pushed back several times.

Now, however, the elementary school can pack the boxes during the holidays. Your current building will then be remodeled so that the neighboring middle school can use it as an interim residence while the next school building is being erected there. Once this is completed and occupied, the property of today’s elementary school will be sold, which has already been decided by the municipal council. According to the town hall, the proceeds will be more than 30 million euros, with which the municipality wants to close the financing gap opened up by the investments in the elementary and middle school.
