The Drôme firefighters are in mourning. Monday, July 25, Chief Warrant Officer Martial Morin died of his injuries. This chief of apparatus within the rescue center of Tain-l’Hermitage, 54 years old, married and father of two children, had left on a mission in the Bouches du Rhône, on July 14. His column had been engaged towards the fire of “La Montagnette” in the communes of Tarascon and Graveson, a few kilometers from Avignon. Until the next day, the Tainois had participated in the defense of sensitive points and staking. At the end, he complained of severe fatigue and severe pain in the throat.

Immediately put to rest and under the supervision of the medical team in place, his condition had deteriorated. Martial Morin was quickly hospitalized at the Avignon hospital center where, despite several days of intensive care, he died on Monday July 25.

A disappearance that plunges a family and an entire community into sadness. Martial Morin had been a volunteer firefighter for 24 years.

The Departmental Fire and Rescue Service of Drôme, his friends and colleagues from the Tain l’Hermitage rescue center decided to pay tribute to him on Friday at 11 a.m., Parc du Chayla in Tain-l’Hermitage, before the ceremony. family.
