The seven-day incidence in Germany is currently 20.4, but the values are rising – earlier and faster than last summer. At the same time, the vaccination campaign is stalling. As little as this week was last vaccinated at the end of February. At the moment, only 54 percent of the population are fully vaccinated, 62 percent at least once.
In order to be prepared for the next corona wave, the Federal Ministry of Health is planning booster vaccinations for all people who belong to a risk group from September. How useful such a booster vaccination can be and what data we have so far is explained in this episode by Hanno Charisius from the SZ knowledge department.
