Switch to FC Barcelona? Jeremy Doku’s father has his doubts
At the EM, Jeremy Doku played himself in the international focus. A club seems to have little chance of a future move.
FC Barcelona seem to have no good cards in poker for Belgium’s offensive jewel Jeremy Doku from Stade Rennes. This was confirmed by his father David.
“I don’t think Barca are currently in a position to pay large sums of money for transfers,” said Doku senior at Het Laatste Nieuws Reports that the Catalans are vying for the 19-year-old intensely.

Documentary, which first appeared in the spotlight at the European Championship last summer, moved from Anderlecht to Stade Rennes in Ligue 1 in 2020. There he missed most of the current season due to injury.
Apparently, however, this has not harmed the interests of other clubs. “There are a lot of clubs that Jeremy would like to sign. But that’s all I can say at the moment,” the father continued.
In Rennes, Doku still has a contract until 2025. A sum of around 50 million euros is under discussion as a possible transfer. During the European Championship, the name Doku was also mentioned in connection with FC Bayern.
