At times, the trial against the four employees of Gazprombank Switzerland felt like it was in “Asterix conquers Rome,” with his A38 pass. “Form A” was available, the bankers’ defense lawyers repeated again and again. Any doubts would be eliminated with Form A, it has the quality of a document. Yes, banks should and may rely on Form A! Form A – quasi the pass of the financial world. Now the district court has decided: Form A is not enough.
