Swastikas painted on public roads in Hyères

The town hall of Hyères, a seaside town in the Var, filed a complaint after the discovery of swastikas tagged on the ground and benches of the promenade along the sea as well as on a school, reports Var Morning.

The first graffiti featuring the Nazi emblem was discovered on November 1 on a building used for after-school activities. The others were seen along the seaside promenade, tagged on the ground and benches, the following Sunday.

The city’s police officers counted a total of eight swastikas.
