Suspicion of infidelity against former CSU State Secretary Hartmut Koschyk – Bavaria

The public prosecutor’s office in Hof is investigating the former Bayreuth member of the Bundestag, Hartmut Koschyk (CSU). There is a suspicion of infidelity against the former State Secretary in the Federal Ministry of Finance, a spokesman for the Hof prosecutor confirmed on Monday.

The public prosecutor is investigating the entire supervisory board of SeniVita Social Estate (SSE) AG, which filed for bankruptcy in early 2021. Koschyk was also a member of the supervisory board of what was once the largest private provider of senior housing and care in Upper Franconia. At first she had New Press Coburg reported on the investigations against the members of the panel. According to the newspaper’s report, there are indications that the company filed for bankruptcy too late. It is also about unjustly paid fees and apartments that have been sold without authorization. Investigators had already searched Koschyk’s house in 2021.

SSE AG, based in Bayreuth, filed for insolvency at the local district court in January 2021 due to insolvency. Previously, investors had reportedly invested around 45 million euros in the company. There were often delays in repayments.

Hartmut Koschyk, born in Forchheim in 1959, was a member of the German Bundestag from 1990 to 2017. From 2005 to 2009 he held the office of Parliamentary Secretary of the CSU state group in the Bundestag. Koschyk then worked for four years as Parliamentary State Secretary at the Federal Minister of Finance.
