Suspicion of fraud with temporary work – raid against companies in Swabia – Bavaria

Since Wednesday morning, companies and apartments in Swabia have been searched for gang-like forgery of documents, the smuggling of foreigners and illegal employment. According to the prosecutor, more than 350 officers are on duty to break up a suspected network of smugglers and counterfeiters. According to information from the German Press Agency, it is about a temporary work agency that has placed workers from Eastern Europe without valid papers in companies.

According to the Memmingen public prosecutor, seven companies in Krumbach, Ellzee, Bad Wörishofen and Mindelheim as well as the homes of 23 other suspects in several communities and cities are being searched. The Bavarian riot police, the Memmingen criminal police and the main customs office in Augsburg are also involved in the action.

The investigators accuse the suspects of having produced and sold forged documents as part of a gang and commercially. They are said to have illegally smuggled foreigners into Germany and employed them. They are also said to have withheld and embezzled social security payments.
