A mother was sentenced to two years’ probation by the Würzburg regional court on Thursday for sexually abusing her daughter. The court saw it as proven that the 37-year-old had filmed her actions in 2020 and sent the recordings to her partner at the time. The 38-year-old, who is said to have forwarded the videos and images, was sentenced to one year and eight months in prison on probation. In both cases the probation period was set at three years.
During this time, it is checked whether the convicts adhere to the conditions imposed and whether the sentence remains suspended. The verdict is not yet legally binding. The court met the prosecutor’s demands with the penalties. The defendant confessed to the crimes on Wednesday. It had previously been agreed in a legal discussion that a suspended sentence would be possible in this case. The accused man also admitted the allegations and apologized.
The victim was seven years old at the time of the crime. The public prosecutor’s office had accused the mother of the girl from the Main-Spessart district of, among other things, serious sexual abuse of a child and producing child pornographic content; her boyfriend at the time was charged with, among other things, possession of child pornographic content.
