Suspect in teenage death brought before judge

A suspect in the investigation into the death of a 16-year-old teenager in Moselle was presented to an investigating judge on Thursday, we learned from the Metz prosecutor’s office.

Born in 1999, he was presented to the investigating judge as part of an investigation opened for “murder and modification of the inventory of a crime”, specified to AFP the public prosecutor of Metz, Yves Badorc.

After giving a first version of the facts, the respondent finally indicated “having accidentally killed the victim with a gun”, said Badorc. A second man, born in 1983, was taken into custody as part of this investigation. He was released Thursday afternoon.

The body of the teenager, born in 2006, was found in Loudrefing, a small town of 300 inhabitants, on Tuesday afternoon. The day before, his mother had reported his disappearance to the gendarmes.
