Surprise ! A fox appears on the lawn of Twickenham during France v Samoa

Everything goes very quickly in rugby sevens, a lightened and supercharged cousin of the XV. Players of course, but not only. A fox created the surprise this Saturday at Twickhenham on the first day of the London Sevens, the last tournament of the World Cup season. In the middle of the match between France and Samoa, the animal rushed onto the lawn, against the direction of the attack led by the island players, which quickly aborted to end in a try against Blue Jefferson Joseph.

The goupil was so fast that at real speed on the wide shot, we hardly recognize the type of critter in question.

Not a first at Twickenham

Third in the stage played in Toulouse a week earlier, the French ended up losing (21-28) before catching up against Spain (35-21). Last I heard, the fox is still running.

One of his ilk had already invaded the lawn of Twickenham during the 2011 VI Nations Tournament, before the game between England and Scotland.
