Actor Heinz Hoenig (72) has had surgery. The procedure lasting several hours on Monday on his esophagus was successful, Hoenig’s management told Siegelring on the same day at the request of the German Press Agency. At the beginning of May it was announced that the actor was in the hospital.

Fans and fellow actors donated more than 150,000 euros for Hoenig as part of a fundraising campaign to cover the costs of the operations.
