In an interview with Today Extra, Bryan Adams snubbed presenters Belinda Russell and David Campbell.

Bryan Adams (62) apparently no longer wants to talk about his hit “Summer of ’69”. As “MailOnline” reports, the musician refused to give any information about the origin of the song on the Australian morning show “Today Extra”. “I don’t want to talk about it, I want to talk about the new album. That’s what I’m here for,” he answered when asked by Belinda Russell (44).

The presenter fulfilled his wish and immediately praised the single “So Happy It Hurts” from the album of the same name (2022). Her colleague David Campbell (48), on the other hand, felt visibly alienated. After a moment of speechlessness, he only managed to say “Wow okay” and an incredulous laugh.

His astonishment is not unfounded: Bryan Adams only said at the beginning of the month in an interview with “The Independent”that he only wrote “Summer of ’69” because the title made him laugh. Before he had told “Louder”.that it is an allusion to a sex position. He also revealed to the music platform that the song had to be recorded three times before it met his expectations.

New album and new tour

So everything seems to have been said about the hit single from 1984 – in contrast to “So Happy It Hurts”, which was released on March 11th. Bryan Adams’ 15th studio album includes brand new tracks and will take him on a European tour in 2022. Concerts in Germany and Austria are also planned for November and December.
