The water rose last night in the south-east of Indre-et-Loire. The department was also placed in orange alert for floods this Saturday morning, a Météo France alert in effect until midnight. It is the south-east of Touraine which is the most affectedwith a particularly significant rise in water levels in the Villeloin-Coulangé and Loché-sur-Indrois sectors.
A sector to avoid, ask the firefighters
Loché-sur-Indrois where eight people had to be evacuated last night. A family of four had to be rehoused by the town hall. The others were with friends or family. This is where the firefighters set up their command post. They also recommend avoiding the area for the moment.
