Street artist Banksy has apparently left another work – this time on a destroyed house in Ukraine. The artist showed a picture of the work on his Instagram channel.

Mysterious street artist Banksy has confirmed his own work in Ukraine. On his Instagram channel on Friday evening, Banksy published pictures of the work on a destroyed house, which is said to have been taken in the badly devastated city of Borodyanka near Kyiv.

The work shows a girl on the gray wall of a war-damaged house, apparently doing a handstand on the rubble. Banksy writes: “Borodyanka, Ukraine”. The publication on his social media channel is traditionally seen as a sign that he confirms a work as his.

Not the first work in a crisis area

The famous street artist has also traveled to crisis areas in the past. In March 2017, Banksy opened “The Walled Off Hotel” in Bethlehem, which is located directly on the border wall between Israel and the West Bank. Banksy designed the interior of the hotel with numerous references to the Middle East conflict and everyday life in the barrier.

Banksy gained worldwide fame with his stencil art. Initially she was mainly found in and around the city of Bristol, which is why it is also assumed that the artist is from Great Britain. However, Banksy has kept his real name and true identity secret for years.
