Spotify annual charts: Apache 207 is Musician of the Year

The rapper lands at the top of Spotify’s annual review. And one of his songs is also at the top. Which artists were otherwise streamed?
Rapper Apache 207 is the most streamed artist of the year in Germany. The streaming provider announced this Spotify as part of its annual review “Wrapped”. The 26-year-old Apache 207, real name Volkan Yaman, was born in Mannheim and is currently one of the most successful German rappers.
Rapper Bonez MC is in second place among the most streamed artists in this country; in 2022 he took third place. This year, pop star Taylor Swift (“Anti-Hero”) is also in third place, according to the Swedish audio streaming service.
According to Spotify, Apache 207 is not only the most listened to artist, his joint song “Komet” with Udo Lindenberg is also the most streamed song of the year among Spotify users in Germany with around 176 million streams (as of November 29th). US singer Miley Cyrus came in second place among the most frequently heard songs with “Flowers”. The two placements were also identical for Spotify competitor Apple Music. He published his annual charts on Tuesday. Streaming service Deezer has not yet announced any information.
