Stopping the excavations near the burnt farm, the gendarmes continue the research on other sectors

Metal detectors looking for a phone never found found nothing, dogs did not mark. The extensive research undertaken since January 17 in the hamlet of Drignac, in Cagnac-les-Mines, to find the body of Delphine Jubillar did not give anything. The gendarmes and specialized soldiers lifted this Friday the important device which had been concentrated for two weeks around the famous burnt farm. But “research is continuing in other areas of the surroundings”, indicates a source close to the investigation to 20 minutes. And the large specialized resources deployed remain on site for the time being.

The choice to first search the surroundings of the Drignac farm was guided by the statements that Cédric Jubillar, the husband of the disappeared and suspect n° 1 of the investigators, would have made to a fellow prisoner. The 34-year-old plasterer is said to have told his one-day confidant that he buried his wife’s body in a shallow place in the Drignac area.

Wrong path ?

The husband, who claims his innocence, would he have voluntarily launched the gendarmes on a false track? This is one of the theses of the lawyer for the cousin of Delphine Jubillar, who has never hidden the skepticism of relatives concerning Grignac.

Delphine Jubillar disappeared from her home in Cagnac-les-Mines on the night of December 15 to 16, 2020, in full confinement. Her husband Cédric gave the alert at 4:10 am. No trace of the nurse has been found since.
