Stop towing! The ingenious e-bike lifter brings your bike onto the car roof

The E-bike lifter by the German start-up company Pender is a lift for e-bikes that can be lifted onto the car roof. The e-bike lifter is attached to the cross member and consists of a small deflectable crane. This will lift the bike off the road without requiring a lot of force.

There are other roof rack systems with the same purpose, including this drop rackwhich take over this task, however, a large part of the roof rack is lowered there and the bicycle still has to be lifted by hand and placed in the carrier system.

The Pender Lift eliminates strenuous manual lifting by retrieving e-bikes from the sidewalk or parking lot. According to the manufacturer, the process only takes a few minutes.

The robust crane is designed for bikes up to 30 kg and is suitable for 26 to 29 inch wheels with a width of less than 3.9 inches. According to Pender, the e-bike lifter can be attached to classic cars, SUVs and vans.

With a dead weight of around 12 kg, the crane, made of anodised aluminum and stainless steel, is not particularly heavy. If you want, you can also attach two cranes to the car to lift two bicycles at the same time.

Pender is taking pre-orders at a price of 748 euros, with delivery scheduled for September 2023.
