Marie Ducruet has been the mother of a daughter for a year. Now Princess Stéphanie’s daughter-in-law is calling for more self-love.
In 2019, Louis Ducruet (31) and his great love Marie tied the knot. The couple has been going through life together for 12 years – after the wedding, the birth of daughter Victoire (1) crowned their happiness. The fact that the 31-year-old can be carefree again today is a blessing for her – and not a given. Because she had to go through deep valleys in her young life.
Marie Ducruet defends herself against body shaming
In 2016, Marie lost her father when she was just in her mid-20s. Since then, she explains, she has experienced “physical changes.” She was repeatedly the victim of body shaming. Today she is so brave and strong that she doesn’t let nasty comments sit on her. “A few years ago, comments like this would have affected me, but I’ve grown up and learned not to care anymore. Now all that matters to me is what I think is right,” she explains in her Instagram story. It is easy to “judge others and make stupid comments,” especially because “many people don’t even think about whether they might hurt others by doing so.” The daughter-in-law of Stéphanie von Monaco (59) has only one appeal: “Please be nice to each other!”

Her role as mom: For Marie, the absolutely most beautiful thing in the world. This is also why the 31-year-old longs for more offspring with her husband Louis. “Victoire is such an adorable child, she makes us want to have another,” said the proud parents. However, one thing should already be clear: As a self-confident and strong woman, Marie Ducruet will definitely pass on the right values to her daughter – and also future siblings.
