Lucas Hernandez withdraws from the Euro

The suspicion of a rupture of the cruciate ligament in the left knee of Lucas Hernandez (28 years old) was confirmed this Thursday afternoon after an MRI taken by the Frenchman in Paris. PSG made the injury official immediately on his website.

The Blues defender (37 caps), injured while trying to prevent Niclas Füllkrug from shooting on goal Wednesday evening in Dortmund (0-1), in the semi-finals first leg of the Champions League, will miss the Euro (June 14- July 14) with France. This is the third time in his career that he has been affected by this type of injury and he will therefore have to begin, once again, a long process to return to the field.

On Saturday, another Blues player, goalkeeper Mike Maignan, injured his adductor, with AC Milan, for around ten days of unavailability.
