Steinhöring – car ends up in the Bach – Ebersberg after an accident

A serious traffic accident occurred on Sunday at around 2:45 p.m. on the EBE 20 district road between Steinhöring and Abersdorf. As the police reported, an 82-year-old Steinhöringer came with his car to the right just before entering the town and was unable to drive back onto the road due to the slight slope. The car drove into a bush and, after getting stuck on a bridge railing, fell into a small stream next to the road. Here the car stayed on the roof.

Two of the four vehicle occupants, the driver’s granddaughter and her friend, both from the Hamburg area, were able to free themselves from the vehicle. The driver and his wife, who was sitting in the passenger seat, had to be released by the fire brigade. All vehicle occupants had to be brought to the surrounding hospitals for medical clarification. The driver’s wife was brought to the Klinikum rechts der Isar by rescue helicopter because of unclear injuries to the spine. According to the police, none of the inmates were at risk of death.

In order to clarify the cause of the accident, an expert report was ordered by the jour service of the Munich II public prosecutor’s office. The Ebersberg and Steinhöring fire brigades were in action with numerous vehicles and crews. According to the fire brigade, there was no risk to the water.
