Last night there was a somewhat surprising announcement about The Finals: During the Game Awards 2023, developer studio Embark announced that the shooter hope, which was massively successful in the open beta, is now available on Steam, Playstation 5 and Xbox Series X|S stands. It also begins at the same time as the release first season of the shooterwhich includes, among other things, a ranked ranking mode, new maps and (of course) a battle pass.

However, in contrast to the preview phase, not everything goes smoothly here at The Finals: The Steam user reviews have now slipped to 69 percent positive votes with almost 3,400 reviews, so that the shooter is only just listed as “mostly positive”. The servers of The Finals are identified as the main culprit for the increasing number of negative reviews, as they can only cope with the rush to a limited extent and “Significantly affect the gaming experience“.
However, the server problems surrounding The Finals do not dampen the general enthusiasm, as a look at the current player numbers shows. According to the database SteamDB There are now more than 125,000 players active in the arena competition at the same time – and the trend continues to rise. However, there is still a long way to go until the open beta reaches its all-time high: at times there were up to 268,000 players playing in The Finals.
