Starknet, the validity roll-up of Ethereum Layer 2, has opened a vote on changing the main upgrade in Starknet v0.13.0 from testnet to mainnet.
This upgrade will facilitate payment of transaction fees in STRK, the native token for Starknet, in addition to Ether that the protocol previously accepted.
Community members can vote from 7:00 AM ET on January 4 to 7:00 AM ET on January 8 at the Starknet Governance Hub as listed onSocialMedia
However, some community members are confused about how voting takes place before the STRK airdrop, but voting is based on the delegate, not the token holder. Last year, the Starknet Foundation distributed voting power to a group of independent delegates.
“We encourage all members of the Starknet community to join the conversation. and comment on the updates presented in the community forum,” Starket wrote.
