Stadtsparkasse München has startled many customers with its new account model: Managing a checking account will become significantly more expensive for many in the future. The basic account then costs 2.95 euros per month, but 49 cents are due for each booking – regardless of whether it is an incoming salary or a standing order for the electricity provider. In addition, withdrawals from ATMs cost 49 cents for such customers. Only those who choose a more expensive account model initially have 20, then 50 bookings free. Only with the premium account for 11.95 euros per month are all items free of charge.
