A nearly four-year-old child who was rescued lifeless from a swimming pool in a Bamberg open-air pool is still in critical health condition. The girl is alive, but her condition is unchanged, said a police spokeswoman on Wednesday morning. According to the information, however, it is not in mortal danger.
Helpers had rescued the child lifeless from the pool in the stadium pool on Tuesday evening. Bathers discovered the girl at the bottom of the hot tub, police said. It was resuscitated by the bathing staff and then taken to a hospital with serious injuries.
The course of the accident is still unclear and is the subject of the investigation. At the request of the public prosecutor’s office, an expert was called in, it said.
