Tennis professional and fashion nerd: Naomi Osaka turns 24

She is one of the best tennis players in the world and has already won quite a few trophies. But despite the successes on the pitch: Naomi Osaka doesn’t seem to be doing really well for her.
On her homepage, Naomi Osaka describes herself as a tennis professional, fashion nerd, shining example and entrepreneur. She has already achieved a lot in her young life, including four Grand Slam titles. Today she turns 24.
However, the athlete does not seem happy at the moment. The French Open this year showed the pressure on her shoulders. At a press conference, she could not hold back her tears, announced that she was suffering from depression and ended the tournament prematurely. Things didn’t go well for Osaka at the Olympic Games in their home country Japan. Shortly thereafter, she decided to take a break from tennis for a while.
In a moving post on her Instagram page, the daughter of a Haitian and a Japanese woman explained the move to her followers: “I noticed that one of the reasons is that I think inside that I’m never good enough.” At the same time, she emphasized: “I will try to celebrate myself and my achievements more, I think we should all.”
