Heavy rain and melting snow – that was too much for the Cadagua. The river in the north of Spain has blown its bed and flooded the landscape. Roads were swept away by the force. The Nervion has also overflowed its banks. Dozens of cars sank in the Basque cities of Basauri and Bilbao. Already at the weekend, the storm Arwen had caused damage in the region, many drivers were stuck for hours. Due to persistent rainfall, authorities urged residents to stay away from flood areas.
