Spain and Brazil part ways as good friends after a prolific match

A new XXL poster was played at the Santiago Bernabéu, this time with Spain and Brazil as players in the match. A very interesting shock, against the backdrop of the Barça-Real Madrid rivalry, with on one side Vinicius Jr and Rodrygo, in addition to Endrick, and on the other, Lamine Yamal and Pau Cubarsí. Not to mention the recent sad events concerning Vinicius Jr, who broke down at a press conference on Monday. For this shock, the two Real Madrid attackers were established, in a nice eleven in which we also found the Parisian Lucas Beraldo in defense, Raphinha in attack, or the duo Lucas Paquetá and Bruno Guimarães in the midfield. On the Spanish side, Yamal was accompanied by Morata and Nico Williams up front, while Fabian Ruiz accompanied Rodri in the middle, and the two “French” Aymeric Laporte and Robin le Normand made up the central hinge.

From the outset, Spain displayed resolutely offensive intentions. Nico Williams and Lamine Yamal clearly intended to set the Canarinha defense on fire. After a few warnings from the two young Iberian wingers, the Barcelona player caused a penalty. It was Rodri who was responsible for transforming it, shooting Bento in the middle while the Brazilian goalkeeper had dived to his right (1-0, 13th). La Roja dominated their subject and Brazil were not particularly dangerous, despite a good save from Unai Simon on his line following an attempt by Vinicius Jr (17th). The Spaniards dominated in the middle and then did poorly on the flanks, with Yamal difficult to neutralize. And what was supposed to happen. Yamal found Dani Olmo in the area. The Leipzig star created a small bridge for Beraldo, eliminated a second defender, then crucified Bento (2-0, 36th). A real golazo.

Real Madrid hurt Spain

But, following an error by Unai Simon, Brazil got back into the swing of things. The Athletic goalkeeper missed his restart and the ball landed on Rodrygo. The latter only had to lob the Basque goalkeeper to reduce the gap (2-1, 39th), facing his audience. Rather well paid, as Brazil had been harmless so far. In the process, Rodri fired a powerful volley that was somehow managed by Bento (40th). A rather logical advantage for Spain at the break, since Luis de la Fuente’s men were a little more incisive, with Dani Olmo who was very difficult between the lines behind the attacking trio. Opposite, Vinicius Jr, Rodrygo and Raphinha struggled to show themselves. But upon returning from the locker room, the situation would change and Spain would be picked up cold. After a corner, the nugget Endrick, who entered at the break, followed up with a beautiful volley to equalize (2-2, 50th). In three days, the 16-year-old scored at Wembley then at the Bernabéu, his future home, just that…

Behind, Spain reacted, with Lamine Yamal still quite inspired. But the quality of the match still dropped considerably, with poorly assured passes and technical waste on both sides. At times it got heated, but it was still quite messy. Spain nevertheless gradually got their foot back on the ball, and recreated danger, like this vicious strike from Olmo (73rd). But Brazil held on well, leaving little space for La Roja. On a through ball from Yamal to Carvajal, the Madrid right-back was pushed around by Beraldo in the area. The referee did not tremble and pointed to the penalty point, perhaps a little generously. Rodri, for the second time in the match, transformed wonderfully, catching Bento on the wrong foot (3-2, 86th). Oihan Sancet, freshly entered the game, was on the verge of signing the fourth (90th), while Simon came out well in front of Paqueta (90th + 2). And at 90+5, Carvajal in turn offered Brazil a penalty. Paqueta made no mistake and beat Unai Simon, also on the wrong foot. A late equalizer, and perhaps not deserved, but everyone will go home happy tonight.
