Adventurous outdoor mission: The astronauts Steve Bowen and Woody Hoburg ensure that the energy supply works better in space.
For the second time in a week, two US astronauts have installed solar panels on the International Space Station during a field mission.
NASA astronauts Steve Bowen and Woody Hoburg left the ISS for around six hours on Thursday, according to the US space agency Nasa. Hoburg left the ISS for the second time on an external mission, Bowen for the tenth time.
There had already been several field assignments to prepare for the installation of the approximately 18 by 6 meter solar panels, which are intended to improve the energy supply of the ISS. Bowen and Hoburg started the actual installation last week.
